Boat & PWC Lifts
Docks Unlimited provides a variety of lifts for every make and model of water vehicle, including the popular drive-on floating ports. We will discuss and determine the type of lift best suited for you, so your needs and wants will be met. To determine the lift you need, know these components of your watercraft(s): weight, length/width, and type. Docks Unlimited will make the best recommendation for your crafts.

Bracing
2 x 6 bracing is used on all outside corners, with “X” bracing added to walkways where practical.

Collars
Treated 2 x 10s are thru-bolted to posts to support joists, except where tied directly to rim boards.

Rim Boards
The main skirt around the pier consists of treated 2 x 10s, attached to posts using ½" carriage bolts.

Joists
All joists are treated 2 x 8s, spaced 16 inches on center. Unsupported spans do not exceed 8 feet.

Decking
Standard 2 x 6 decking is screwed down and jammed tight to allow for shrinkage, and alternate decking systems are fastened appropriately.

Bumper
Black bumpers are attached using stainless steel screws every 6 inches.

Cleats
Fold-down cleats are lagged directly to the main rim board with 6-inch lags.

Beauty Band
A pressure-treated 2 x 8 board is screwed to the rim boards to conceal decking end grain.

Roofing
Standard is 29-gauge metal roofing, screwed to 2 x 4 purlins spaced every 2 feet. Color options and alternate roofing types available upon request.
